Little About History of sunglasses

It was so far back in time, at year of 1430 in china that of coarse their glasses were not of any prescription, and they were not used to protect your eyes from the sun. The Chinese judges had often worn sunglasses with quartz to hide the expression in their eyes while during a court case.  The sunglasses from Italy were also obviously darkened, but they were darkened for court cases as well.

The experimentation of tinting lenses came from a man named James Ayscough in the 18th Century. He as well, did not seek sunglasses as protecting your eyes from the rays of the sun, but for the correction of vision impairments. Where we use them to block harmful UVA/UVB rays.

This was the time period where they started to realize that sunglasses would be a great help to protect your eyes from the sun.  They were first sold in the Atlantic City, New Jersey. When the year of 1930 struck was when everyone had to own a pair. In 1960 sunglasses started to develop their actual style for fashion.

When the 20th Century hit is when we start to see the wide range of the sunglasses popularity.

Need Sunglasses All Year Long

It’s the wholesale sunglasses season is over. the answers is not. West coast us states, where sunglasses are pretty much a necessity every where you go every day.  Snow boarders, skiers, and drivers all need sunglasses. Unless you’re living in Alaska or in Antarctica, the sun still shines every day.

So how could use sunglasses year-round for protection from the sun? The answer to this depends on what line of work you’re in and/or what you like to do for recreation. Weather you’re retired or work full time, there is always a pair of sunglasses that will suit your needs anytime of the day and year. Sunglasses come in a variety of styles and tints suited to best fit your needs. For example, if you work outside driving a combine through the field in the summer you may need a pair of sunglasses that have a dark tint to it. On the same note, if you drive a combine at night you may need the same pair with a yellow tint; which brightens up everything around you and keeps the glare out of your eyes from oncoming light. Sunglasses can be used throughout the year in variety of weather and season conditions, even during rainy and overcast days.

Harmful UVA/UVB radiation can still penetrate the skin, even during overcast and rainy days, which has been a misconception by many. In the dead of winter sunglasses may be used no only to help protect the eyes from the sun, but help keep your eyes from frost bite; especially while riding snowmobiles. Many Nascar, Indy Car, Superbike and other world renowned drivers/riders use sunglasses in the form of a visor on their helmets to keep the glare out of their eyes caused by the sun. Poker players use sunglasses year-round to keep their facial expressions to themselves in the event of a possible bluff.

Weather you like to go golfing or love race cars, there will always be a pair of sunglasses that will suit your needs; day or night. Sunglasses have become apart of our daily lives and used to help people in a variety of ways. So the next time you’re in a store with sunglasses, ask yourself how you could incorporate sunglasses into your daily routine.

How Displaying Sunglasses to Help you Increase Sales

Conway in New York City and Steve & Barry’s in Middletown, NY have something in common. They are both clothing stores where find attractive clothing at incredible prices. TJ Maxx and Fashion Bug… Ross Dress for Less and Marshalls… Macy’s and Lord & Taylor… In many cases these stores are direct competitors, but they carry similar items and are priced within the same range.

The question is how do these stores that are in direct competition with one another remain in business? What is their strategy to carve out a market niche when there are so many other stores striving for the same goal? Extensive time and money is spent in researching specific market targets and identifying trends. One of the things Research and Development Departments are looking for is information such as which group has the most buying power or is growing at the fastest pace. Is it Generation Xers? Is it the Baby Boomers? Is it Generation Y?

One universal truth to selling wholesale replica sunglasses is that you have to display them in order to sell them. How and where you display your sunglasses can have a huge impact on the amount of sales you make, so it is important to choose the correct display for your shop.

The first thing you need to do is assess your selling location. How much available space do you have to sell your sunglasses? Do you have the floor space available to handle a larger floor display or do you only have counter space available? After you decide on what space you have available for sunglass displays and where you can display them, then it’s time to choose a display.

If you are fortunate enough to have enough space available to allow for a floor display model, then you should choose a model that allows you to showcase the maximum amount of sunglasses. It is important to know that the more sunglasses you have on display, the more likely you are to have a style your customer wants. Try to place your floor display in a location that is easily accessible and highly visible to increase customer interest.

If your space is limited, then perhaps a counter top display would suit you better. There are many different types of counter top displays available, with some holding up to 30 pairs of sunglasses or more. If you opt for a counter top display and have no height restrictions, go with a model that holds a lot of sunglasses. Again, you want to offer the most variety that you can in order to increase your sales.

A feature you may want with your sunglass display is a mirror. People want to see what the sunglasses look like on them, so having a mirror with your display increases customer satisfaction. If your sunglass display does not have a mirror pre-installed with it consider adding one of your own.

Sunglass Racks & Displays

Do you want sell more sunglasses?

Buying Sunglass Racks and letting people decide, but while you’re at it you, should make the job even easier to the client. How can it be easier than looking and walking? That is actually the key; you should try to cut down on the amount of looking and walking the customer does.

If you place your sunglass racks facing the entry point of your store, then you hope that the customer was searching for sunglasses to begin with. Customers are more conscious of what they buy when entering a store than when they are leaving, with that mind, if you decide to go with this approach, you will attract customers that came to your store for sunglasses (among other things.) I would recommend this method if the prices of your sunglasses are higher than normal, as you will not attract as many impulsive buyers as the second approach.

The second key position is to place your sunglass display near the cash register. This method allows the customers to browse through your sunglasses while they wait in line; however, this tactic relies heavily on the fact that the customer is an impulsive buyer (he or she was not even thinking about buying a pair of sunglasses in the first place). With this method, you are less likely to sell an expensive pair of sunglass, but you will likely sell more pairs that the average customer will categorize as inexpensive.
